You need to write down a brief outline for your story.

- rain became heavier - seek shelter in hut - wait for rain
to stop - started to daydream - woke up by thunder and
lightning - rain stopped - went out - reached bend - tree
across road - tried to remove tree - failed - on coming bus
- stood in middle - bus stopped - driver and passengers

GUIDED WRITING : MODEL ANSWER
THE ENVIRONMENTAL CLUB OF
SMK GETING
The
Environmental Club had another fulfilling year in 2014. When it was first
launched in 1997, it had only 45 students.Due
to the tremendous support from the students, its members increased to 350 this
year. Its aim is to help save the environment
of the school as well as the community.
Activities:
Several activities were carried out in 2014. These
included trips, campaigns, fundraising and annual party.
1. Recycling Campaign
The
Recycling Campaign was the main project for the year 2014. The objective of
this campaign was to encourage members to recycle paper rather than throw it away.
It was a three-month campaign, beginning in early
January and the response from the members was encouraging.
Participants were encouraged to bring old newspapers, magazines and paper. After one month,
we managed to collect more than 20 tonnes of paper.
2. Taman Orkid
Tengku Anis
Besides
that, the club had organised a trip to an orchid garden which is known as Taman
Orkid Tengku Anis, in Pengkalan Chepa. Apart from orchids, there are also
other species of flowers. 40 members participated
in this trip and they were accompanied by 2 teachers. It was
really an enjoyable outing because they saw many species of flowers that they had never seen before.
3. Fundraising for Landscaping
Next, we
organised a Food Fare a week before the First Term Holidays. The aim of this activity
was to raise fund for the landscaping project located beside the
Science Laboratory. In addition, we also
organised Canteen Day as a supplementary activity to the Food Fare.
4. Annual party
Before
the academic year was over, the club held an annual party for all its members. Each
member was given a certificate of appreciation for their hard work. A
certificate of appreciation was also given to Encik Wan Ismail, our advisor, for his guidance and dedication.
Last but not least, we urge more students to join
us for an even more exciting time in years to come.
