Basically, there are 5 steps to go through a process in writing.
1.
PLANNING
2.
WRITING A FIRST DRAFT
3.
REVISING AND EDITING
4.
REWRITING
5.
PROOFREADING
Let's say you have decided on writing a story on moral values
about public-spiritedness.
1. PLANNING
In this stage, you need to brainstorm your ideas. Don't worry
about mistakes in language or spelling. Just concentrate on the idea.
You need to write down a brief outline for your story.
early in the morning - drizzling - went out to sell putu mayam
- rain became heavier - seek shelter in hut - wait for rain
to stop - started to daydream - woke up by thunder and
lightning - rain stopped - went out - reached bend - tree
across road - tried to remove tree - failed - on coming bus
- stood in middle - bus stopped - driver and passengers
- grateful - bought putu mayam.
Next, you need to organise the outline into paragraphs
and come up with an outline of the story.
The easiest method is to use the WH-questions.
